BIOHYBRID ROBOTICS IN ARTS


 

The internal processes of the human body generate a perceptual field for the perfomer (s) and the audience. Using biofeedback exploratory (not controlling) techniques that translate the performer (s) biosignals (heart rate, brain waves, motor control, muscular activity, sound, visual field capture, etc.) in an audiovisual and kinesthetic  immersive visceral exploratory experience. We create biorobotic interfaces (integrating biosensors) that connect directly to the human body and measure biologic activity in real-time. Through movement the performer (or performers) create (s) a perceptive field of their internal processes in real-time and in a exploratory way. This experience becomes visceral to the audience that shares the internal processes of the performer in real-time. In this way, a biologic symbiosis is created between the performer's biologic activity and the perceptual field of the audience that shares and internalizes a vivid exploratory biologic experience.

These installations are used in performative arts,    sculpture, and arquitecture.
